The deep emotional romance that actors Lee Sung-kyung and Chae Jong-hyeop will portray is coming to the home theater.
The new MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'In Your Brilliant Season', which is set to premiere on February 20, tells the story of Song Ha-ran, a woman who has locked herself in winter, and Sun Woo-chan, a man whose every day feels like summer vacation. The unpredictable romance between the two as they melt each other's frozen time is generating viewer anticipation.
The released still cuts capture the strange atmosphere between Song Ha-ran (played by Lee Sung-kyung) and Sun Woo-chan (played by Chae Jong-hyeop) as they meet in the static space of an art museum. The gaze of Ha-ran, immersed in the artwork, and the look of disbelief from Chan as he watches her intersect, hinting at the inevitable attraction flowing between them.
In the drama, Lee Sung-kyung plays the role of Song Ha-ran, the chief designer at Nana Atelier. She is a character who refuses to connect with others due to deep wounds from her past. The appearance of 'Born to be Happy Man' Sun Woo-chan begins to crack her once peaceful life.
Sun Woo-chan, played by Chae Jong-hyeop, is an animator at a world-renowned animation studio. He comes to Korea for a project and fatefully reunites with Ha-ran, who had been a spring breeze in his life seven years ago. However, Chan decides to stay close to Ha-ran while hiding his true identity, amplifying curiosity about the hidden story behind it.
In another scene, Chan's gentle act of carefully covering sleeping Ha-ran with a blanket and her surprised expression vividly show the temperature difference between the two. It raises the question of whether these two individuals living in different seasons can overcome the seven-year gap and welcome a brilliant spring again.
The production team stated, "Lee Sung-kyung and Chae Jong-hyeop completed a perfect chemistry with delicate breathing from the first shoot," and added, "Please look forward to the dense romance that the two actors will portray."
Meanwhile, MBC's 'In Your Brilliant Season', which will warmly melt the hearts of viewers this winter, will premiere on February 20 at 9:50 PM.
