Comedian Lee Bong-won mentioned his wife Park Mi-sun, who is battling breast cancer, and revealed that their relationship has become more affectionate after her illness, creating a warm atmosphere.
On the 3rd, a video titled 'On the Way to the Ritual in Geochang Riding a Tesla Model X!' was uploaded to Lee Bong-won's YouTube channel 'Bong-woni-hyung'.
In the video, while heading to his hometown Geochang for the ritual, Lee Bong-won received a call from Park Mi-sun. She said, "It’s supposed to rain a lot today, how are you going to film? Be careful," showing concern for her husband's safety.
When the production team expressed envy, saying, "There are many people who don’t call regardless of the situation," Lee Bong-won replied, "I wouldn’t have called before, but I think I have changed a lot after she got sick." He continued, "This Saturday, we are going on a family trip to Osaka with the kids and their mom. Before she started chemotherapy, we also went on a trip to Sapporo. I was the interpreter, guide, and driver then too," he revealed.
Regarding the travel plans, Lee Bong-won explained, "I just gave advice and told the kids to make the choices. In Osaka, there’s Osaka Castle and Universal Studios, and nearby is Kyoto. Kyoto is like Gyeongju in our country, so I told them the food is good and there are many sights to see."
Additionally, a recent video of Lee Bong-won, Park Mi-sun, and their two children during their trip to Osaka, Japan was released. As a guide, Lee Bong-won continued to explain in Japanese, showcasing his study abroad experience, but Park Mi-sun interrupted him, saying, "Stop with the comments," and "There are too many people. Stop it," which made everyone laugh. However, Lee Bong-won did not stop explaining, and Park Mi-sun eventually said, "Please stop. I’m sorry, but go inside and rest a bit. You can clock out now," showing their cheerful daily life as a couple.
Meanwhile, Lee Bong-won and Park Mi-sun got married in 1993 and have one son and one daughter. Park Mi-sun paused her activities for about a year due to her battle with breast cancer, but last month, she appeared on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' with shorter hair after chemotherapy, sharing her healthier status and receiving much support.
