Chaeryeong, a member of the group ITZY, is drawing attention as she shares her thoughts on reaching the 7th year since debut with a more matured atmosphere in her photoshoot.
Recently, Chaeryeong showcased her chic and lively charm hidden behind intense performances through the January issue of lifestyle magazine Singles. Having continued her relentless activities this year with the mini-album Girls Will Be Girls and TUNNEL VISION, she defined this photoshoot as an ambitious project where she could show a special side of herself, not the usual one, revealing her passion for new challenges.
In particular, ITZY announced that all members completed their re-contracting with their agency JYP Entertainment ahead of the so-called "seven-year curse" often mentioned in the music industry, signaling the team's resilience. In an interview, Chaeryeong pointed out honest conversations and unfiltered feedback among members as the secret to their teamwork entering the 7th year, boasting a strengthened bond through this.
Reflecting on the moment when she cried during their music show win, she expressed her gratitude and regret, recalling how much the fans must have worked hard to gift them the first place, showing her special affection for the fandom MIDZY. She also reminisced about the production process of their last album, where she deeply contemplated ITZY's identity, adding that she tried to embody new beats and performances with her own color.
She also left the possibility open for solo activities. Chaeryeong expressed her desire to challenge herself on a stage that can best showcase her, especially performances that highlight her strength in dance, if given the opportunity. Additionally, she conveyed her ambitious aspirations to expand her activities into songwriting, composing, vocals, acting, and variety shows.
Finally, Chaeryeong expressed her wish to write the second chapter of ITZY with more love, stating that she wants to be an artist who does not miss the fun and happiness of every moment rather than just chasing results. More of Chaeryeong's heartfelt confessions about her fans, members, and family can be found in the January issue of Singles.
