Star chef Jeong Ji-seon expressed her heartfelt feelings after winning the Popularity Award at the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards.
On the 20th, at the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards held live at the KBS New Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, Chef Jeong Ji-seon received the honor of the Popularity Award for her contributions to the entertainment program "Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears", which has garnered great love from viewers.
On stage, Jeong Ji-seon first expressed her deep gratitude to the production team and her fellow cast members. She then cautiously shared her personal family matters, making the venue solemn. Jeong Ji-seon conveyed the unfortunate news that her twin brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor a week ago and is currently struggling, sending a heartfelt message of encouragement through the screen, urging her brother to overcome this challenge.
She also did not forget to pay respect to the senior chefs who have guided her in her broadcasting activities. She mentioned that "Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears" is a precious program that has helped her become widely known as a chef, expressing her gratitude to Chef Lee Yeon-bok and Chef Jeong Ho-young for helping her enter the broadcasting world. She added that she is happy that the profession of a chef can be portrayed proudly through broadcasting.
Known as the "Queen of Dim Sum," Chef Jeong Ji-seon recently appeared as a white spoon chef in the Netflix cooking survival show "Black and White Chefs: Cooking Class War", proving her overwhelming cooking skills by making it to the final eight. This Popularity Award win reaffirms her widespread popularity as a unique character straddling both the culinary and broadcasting worlds.
