On the afternoon of the 17th, his agency SM Entertainment explained the relationship between Key and a person known as Park Na-rae's injection specialist, referred to as Mr. Lee. The agency stated that Key visited a hospital located in Gangnam, where Mr. Lee worked, upon a friend's recommendation, and that he first learned of Mr. Lee as a doctor at that time.
Furthermore, regarding the allegations of illegal medical procedures, Key admitted that he had been receiving continuous treatment at the hospital and acknowledged that he had received treatment at home several times when it was difficult to visit the hospital recently. The agency clarified that Key believed Mr. Lee was a real doctor and did not think that receiving treatment at home would be problematic since Mr. Lee had not made any particular mention of it.
However, after the recent controversy surrounding Mr. Lee's medical license arose, Key became aware for the first time that he was not a doctor and is currently very confused, expressing deep regret over his ignorance.
