Comedian Park Na-rae, amidst various allegations including legal disputes with former managers, illegal medical practices, and embezzlement, announced her intention to suspend all activities and proceed with legal procedures through a video on the 16th.
In the video released that day, Park Na-rae stated, "I take seriously the concerns and fatigue I have caused many people due to the recent issues raised," bowing her head in apology.
She continued, "I voluntarily stepped down from all the programs I was involved in due to these issues," expressing, "I made that choice hoping to avoid causing further confusion or burden to the production team and my colleagues."
Park Na-rae revealed that regarding the current allegations, "There are aspects that need to be calmly verified, so I am in the process of legal procedures," while also stating, "I will not make any additional public statements or explanations during that process." She emphasized, "This matter should be objectively verified through official procedures, not based on personal feelings or relationships," explaining, "This choice is not to blame someone or seek responsibility, but to exclude emotions and personal judgments and leave it to the procedures for resolution."
She added, "While many stories are circulating right now, I do not wish for anyone else to be hurt or for unnecessary disputes to arise," stating, "I would like to take some time to focus on resolving this matter by temporarily halting all activities. I will reflect on my responsibilities and attitudes in my position."
Previously, Park Na-rae's former managers, Mr. A and Mr. B, applied for a real estate provisional seizure against her on the 3rd, claiming various illegal acts such as special injury, workplace harassment, sexual harassment, proxy prescriptions, and delays in personal expense payments, and announced their intention to seek damages.
In response, Park Na-rae's side refuted, stating, "The former managers demanded several hundred million won, equivalent to 10% of the company's revenue from the previous year, after receiving their severance pay," and filed a complaint against Mr. A and Mr. B for extortion. Subsequently, Mr. A and Mr. B also filed criminal complaints against Park Na-rae for special injury and defamation by false facts, and accused her of embezzlement under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes, leading to extreme confrontation between the two sides.
Additionally, Park Na-rae was recently embroiled in allegations of illegal medical practices after reports surfaced that she received an IV drip from a person referred to as 'Nurse Jusa,' but her side clarified that they believed the individual to be a licensed medical professional.
Park Na-rae concluded the video by saying, "I would like to thank many people who have cared for me, and to avoid creating further controversy, I will not make any related comments after this video."
