[Mediment News Reporter Kim Soo-hyun] The global group Stray Kids, which has been setting new records with every comeback, is expected to present a special variety program for the Lunar New Year in collaboration with KBS.
Stray Kids (Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, I.N) are currently discussing their guest appearance on KBS's special Lunar New Year variety program 'Seolbim' (new clothes prepared for the Lunar New Year).
'Seolbim' is expected to be a program in a self-content format that captures the free daily lives of idol members. Recently, Stray Kids appeared on 'Outing 15 Nights' directed by PD Na Young-seok alongside JYP Entertainment family members, garnering significant attention for their strong variety skills, raising expectations for what new charms will be showcased in this 'Seolbim'.
In this regard, a representative from JYP Entertainment stated, "It is a program that we have received a proposal for and are in discussions about. However, nothing has been confirmed yet."
Meanwhile, Stray Kids, an 8-member group under JYP Entertainment that debuted in 2017, is loved by global fans for their outstanding producing abilities based on 3RACHA (Changbin, Bang Chan, Han) and energetic performances.
Even after 8 years since their debut, their growth remains impressive. According to the recent annual chart from Billboard in the United States, Stray Kids' SKZHOP HIPTAPE '合 (HOP)' and their 4th studio album 'KARMA' ranked 1st and 2nd respectively on the World Albums chart. This continues the record they set last year with '樂-STAR' and 'ATE' taking the 1st and 2nd spots on the same chart. Additionally, they have charted in multiple categories, including 1st in World Album Artist and 2nd in Top Album Sales Artist, showcasing their global presence.
The recently released SKZ IT TAPE 'DO IT' also climbed to 4th place on the Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200' as of the 13th, securing a spot in the top ranks for two consecutive weeks, proving their unyielding popularity.
