"I feel like I have no reason to exist if I don't sing."
The uniquely emotional singer Lee So-ra has returned to the public after breaking a long silence. On the 6th, Lee So-ra's official YouTube channel released a video titled 'Lee So-ra's First Spring'. This marks her first official activity in about 5 years and 5 months since her appearance on JTBC's 'Hidden Singer', capturing the attention of her fans.
In the released video, Lee So-ra candidly shared her recent situation. Known for not enjoying going out, she confessed that she would only go out once or twice a year, focusing on health management by cleaning at home and taking nutritional supplements. She also shared her simple daily life, mentioning that she recently started some home training.
The reason for choosing YouTube as a new platform after a long period of seclusion was clear. It was due to her thirst for 'singing'. Lee So-ra expressed her heartfelt desire, saying, "I feel like I don't sing as much as I thought," and "I want to comfort people and make them feel at ease through my songs."
During the process of communicating with fans, her human side stood out. While reading fans' letters, Lee So-ra became emotional and teary-eyed, promising to repay them with songs, saying, "I have many shortcomings, so please take care of me." She also revealed a surprising behind-the-scenes story about her shaved head style, saying, "I cut it myself at home with scissors."
She also reacted joyfully to the parody video by comedian Lee Soo-ji. Despite having little experience watching YouTube, she mentioned the parody and vowed, "I am more open than before. I will approach you with a less picky attitude," hinting at her active communication in the future.
As Lee So-ra announced her return to activities through the radio earlier this year, attention is focused on what musical path she will take following the launch of her YouTube channel.
